Shannon Sipher is a Southern Louisiana science fiction, horror, and comedy writer. Her stories center around good and bad futures and the characters fighting to make them come true. Growing up in Louisiana inspires most of her story sensibilities. She calls this approach militarized magic realism.

Shannon has a MFA in Fiction Writing from Columbia College Chicago. She is a Co-Organizer of the New Orleans chapter of Filmshop - a cooperative of filmmakers working in collaboration to improve their craft. A few of her scripts can be read on Ron Howard’s Imagine Impact App.

SPACE has placed as Quarterfinalist in the Shore Scripts TV Pilot Contest 2021, Quarterfinalist, WeScreenplay TV Contest 2022, Quarterfinalist, ScreenCraft Sci-Fi & Fantasy Screenwriting Competition 2021, and most recently Semifinalist, CineStory TV Retreat and Fellowship Competition 2022. 

TRIP has placed as Finalist in the Atlanta Film Festival Screenplay Competition 2022, Finalist, Shore Scripts Feature Contest 2021, Quarterfinalist, WeScreenplay Feature Contest 2022, and Quarterfinalist, ScreenCraft Screenwriting Fellowship 2022.

THE ANYTHING ROOM has placed as Quarterfinalist in the WeScreenplay Shorts Contest 2021.
